Submissions due tonight
Today is the last day to make a formal submission on Star of the South’s environmental assessments.
Anyone can make a submission on the draft Commonwealth Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and/or Victorian Environment Effects Statement (EES). Submissions must be received by 11:59 pm.

- Make a submission on the EES using a form on the Victorian Government’s Engage Victoria website.

Out and about in Gippsland
Thank you to everyone who made time to meet with us, ask questions and learn more about the project during the public review period for our environmental assessments.
20 members of our engineering, environment, executive and engagement teams enjoyed speaking with locals at:

Gippsland’s offshore winds – strong now and into the future
Gippsland has some of the best offshore wind conditions in the world. We have a powerful, untapped, totally renewable resource on our doorstep. But will these winds keep blowing as the climate changes?
According to new research from the Australian Centre for Offshore Wind Energy, the answer is yes. Offshore wind will be a strong and reliable source of power for decades to come.
Researchers simulated winds 30-50 years from now using 7 high-resolution regional climate models under 2 climate change scenarios. Under both scenarios, wind speeds in Australia’s offshore wind zones remain largely unchanged – reinforcing the important role Gippsland can continue to play in powering the nation.
