We invite submissions on the Star of the South Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), prepared under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
We are committed to engaging openly with the community and to handling personal information responsibly.
When you make a submission, we will collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, postal or residential address, organisation (if applicable), and the content of your submission.
We collect and use this information to:
- Receive and consider community submissions about the project
- Inform the environmental assessment of the project and the EIS process
- Meet our obligations under applicable laws and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with you about the EIS process.
It is important that the EIS process is fair, open and transparent. Accordingly:
- Submissions may be shared with relevant government agencies (including, but not limited to, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water), professional advisers supporting the EIS process, and our affiliates
- Submissions may be published, in full or in summary form, on our website.
Your name may be published with your comments. If you would prefer that your name is not published, you may request this when making your submission and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate your preference.
Please be aware that, in some circumstances, information may be required to be disclosed to third parties under applicable laws, such as freedom of information legislation.
Please do not include any personal information in your submission unless you are happy for it to be used as described above. Please do not include any personal information about other people (such as photographs or addresses) unless you have their consent and have informed them of this Privacy Collection Statement.
