Photomontages are real photos with turbines added digitally to show how Star of the South could look from a range of different locations.
They have been prepared by a specialist in line with visual impact assessment guidelines and government requirements.
Please note that these photomontages show:
- An indicative wind farm design – final decisions about the number, height and layout of turbines have not been made
- The maximum number of the largest turbines which could be used for the project (113 turbines with a 350 m tip height)
- Indicative safety lighting, pending confirmation of final requirements from maritime and aviation safety authorities.
A full Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment with 28 viewpoints will be released this year with the project’s environmental assessments.
In the meantime, if you would like to see other locations or images showing the the maximum number of smaller turbines (147 turbines with a 271 m tip height), please contact us.
